Housing Assistance Program for Youth
The Housing Assistance Program for Youth provides comprehensive case management services to young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are homeless or housing insecure in Chippewa, Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau and Jackson counties. Based on a needs assessment, we develop individualized plans to help young adults obtain permanent housing and we utilize personal strengths to achieve self-sustainability.
We provide:
- Comprehensive case management services
- Housing searche assistance
- Education plans
- Job search assistance
- Connections with local resources
- Financial literacy & budgeting assistance
- Short and long-term goal planning
Services will vary for each client. Limited financial assistance may be available for clients in certain situations (bus passes, rental application fees, moving costs, etc.)
The goal of the program is to help young adults find permanent housing and provide them with the resources and education needed to be successful and self-sufficient.
The Housing Assistance Program for Youth is a program of Western Dairyland EOC. Program services are developed and directed in part by the Youth Action Board, a group comprised of young adults ages 18-24 who have lived expereience or have an investment in youth homelessness. |
