(WKBT) Governor Evers Visits Weatherization Facility, Highlights Energy Tax Cuts
October 2, 2025
(WKBT) -- Governor Tony Evers visited Western Dairyland's Weatherization Warehouse in Pigeon Falls today to showcase the organization's work improving energy efficiency and reducing costs for Wisconsin families.
The visit highlighted Western Dairyland's efforts to weatherize buildings throughout the region, protecting structures from harsh weather conditions while boosting energy efficiency and enhancing indoor comfort and safety. The organization's work directly aims to lower energy costs for families across the area.
"I'm just really proud of the work they do. And they just do it because they love it and they get good responses from the people they're helping," Evers said during his visit.
The governor's appearance also served to promote a significant tax cut included in the 2025-27 biennial budget. The new policy eliminates the sales and use tax on electricity and natural gas consumed in homes across Wisconsin, providing additional relief to residential energy costs statewide.
