Down Payment Assistance
Western Dairyland provides up to $2,500 in financial assistance to income-eligible homebuyers in our service area for a limited time. Funds may be used for down payments, mortgage insurance, homeowners insurance, or closing costs.
Eligibility Requirements
- The home being purchased must be located in Eau Claire, Trempealeau, Jackson, or Buffalo counties.
- Applicants must be income-eligible (see below)
- Based on income, applicants must contribute $500 - $1,000 toward the home purchase.
- Applicants must qualify for a home loan through a reputable lender (we cannot qualify you for a mortgage).
- Applicants must participate in a homebuyer education class. Contact us for a list of available courses.
- No land contracts are allowed - it must be a simple fee title.
- No mobile homes are allowed, and restrictions may apply to prefabricated homes
