Training & Education Programs

Western Dairyland's Skills Enhancement program offers financial assistance to individuals working while pursuing post-secondary education.

Low-wage earners who are working at least 20 hours per week and are attending a university or technical school may qualify for assistance designed to fill the gaps not covered by student loans and other programs. Financial assistance may include help with books, tuition, parking fees, mileage, scrubs, tools, and school supplies. We may also assist clients with applications, paperwork, and career choices.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be working at least 20 hours per week.
2. Must be enrolled in an accredited course that will ultimately result in at least a $3 / hour wage increase.
3. Must live in Eau Claire, Buffalo, Jackson or Trempealeau county
4. Must have a qualifying monthly income of 150% or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
