Rapid Rehousing
Since November 2016, hundreds of homeless families and individuals have moved from homeless shelters into permanent housing thanks to our Rapid Rehousing Program. Our Rapid Rehousing case managers develop relationships with area landlords and help clients on the Coordinated Entry Prioritization List move into their own apartments.
Rapid re-housing rapidly connects families and individuals experiencing homelessness to permanent housing through a tailored package of assistance that may include time-limited financial assistance and targeted supportive services.
To qualify for rapid re-housing, homeless families or individuals (Cat. 1) or those that are fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or other dangerous or life-threatening conditions (Cat. 4) are required to go through the Coordinated Entry process. Coordinated Entry is designed to give easy access to those who are seeking housing assistance. It also identifies and assesses their needs and makes prioritization decisions based on needs.
