We have half-day and full-day programs in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson and Trempealeau counties. A list of program locations is available at WDHeadStart.org.
Early Head Start
Early Head Start offers programs for pregnant women and children from birth to three in two program options. Early Head Start center-based is a full-day, full-year program a the Independence Head Start Center.
Early Head Start home-based programming offers weekly home visits and support for families in our service area. A Family Services Specialist brings activities and materials to promote each child's health, development, and nutrition. Families are invited to attend two monthly playgroup sessions to inspire parent-child interactions that encourage maximum child development and school readiness.
