Job Description:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Western Dairyland has been granted funds to operate the Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance (WERA) program. One of the perks of the job is working from home!  Not only that, but you can go to sleep each night knowing that you prevented households from losing their homes.

We're hiring a WERA Intake Coordinator.  Primary duties include:

  • Collecting program documentation
  • Determining eligibility for rental and utility assistance
  • Initiating crisis payments in the HE+ system
  • Conducting follow up and documenting case notes
  • Updating and maintaining the WERA database
  • Ensuring program and agency compliance
  • Coordinating services and doing program outreach
  • Other WERA duties as assigned

This position requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, with 2-4 years experience or 4-6 years experience working with low-income populations.  This position is based out of your home, so must be able to work remotely with limited distractions. The starting salary is $18.60 based on experience. 

We offer a complete benefits package including:

  • Vacation accrued at .05769/hour worked (3 weeks per year) 
  • 28 hours of personal time off
  • 11 paid holidays 
  • Sick leave accrued at 0.04615 hours per hour worked
    • approximately 8 hours of sick leave per month for full-time employees
    • maximum accrued sick leave of 480 hours
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Long-Term Disability agency paid

401(k) plan with up to a 6% match 

Employees can contribute immediately. After 1 year of employment, the agency will contribute between 3 and 6 percent, dependent on the employee's contribution.

  • 90% premiums covered for individual coverage
  • 75% premiums covered for additional coverage needed
  • $3,750 deductible reimbursement for individuals and up to $6,500 reimbursed for family deductibles

  • Single $34.92 per month
