(WQOW) - Governor Tony Evers visited Pigeon Falls on Thursday afternoon to learn more about the work of Western Dairyland Economic Opportunity Council's weatherization facility.
Western Dairyland's weatherization program has been operating for decades and it allows low-income families across Western Wisconsin to receive upgrades like insulation, furnace repairs, and weather stripping for their homes. That work results in lower energy bills each month.
While in Pigeon Falls, Gov. Evers also highlighted tax cuts from the recent state budget, including the removal of sales tax on household energy bills.
