Federal Funding from Energy Assistance Program on Hold as Government Shutdown Continues

Winter is coming and that means it is time to turn up the thermostat. However, a federal program that helps Wisconsinites with that is frozen for now.
“So far this month, we’ve already received over 2,200 calls from folks looking to apply to the program and have received 815 applications by mail or people dropping them off at the office,” said Anna Cardarella, the CEO of Western Dairyland.
