Western Dairyland Seeks Volunteers for Summer PIT Count
July 1, 2025
EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - In a few weeks, dozens of volunteers will spend the night looking for people experiencing homelessness, and Western Dairyland Economic Opportunity Council is looking for more help.
The Point-in-Time Count aims to provide a reliable statistical look at who's facing homelessness in both the winter and the summer. The summer count starts on July 23 in Eau Claire. The data is then included in the Annual Homelessness Assessment Report that helps determine federal funding in the area.
