Financial Counseling
Our Financial Counseling Program provides group workshops and one-on-one mentoring in budgeting, basic banking, managing credit, avoiding money traps, fighting debt, and more. The key component to the program is one-on-one mentoring. Clients are matched with a mentor who will develop an individualized plan to set financial goals and work with the client to meet those goals. Depending on the client's needs, this may consist of a one-time meeting or a program that lasts several months.
Financial Counseling is available at no cost to anyone in the community and there are no income restrictions. Current and past clients of Western Dairyland programs are encouraged to enroll. Financial Counseling works together with Wheels for Work, Head Start, Skills Enhancement and many of our other programs.
