Coronavirus Assistance Program

Financial Assistance for Household Bills

Western Dairyland's Coronavirus Assistance Program (CAP) is designed to help households pay their bills and prevent the loss of neccessary services. The maximum amount in bill pay assistance is a total of $1,000 per household, and assistance will be in the form of a check sent directly to the vendor(s).

In some cases, clients will be referred to other programs with available funding. Due to funding limitations, this program cannot duplicate other forms of financial assistance, and it cannot be used if the loss of services is inevitable. We hold the right to decline cases where payments would not significantly alleviate financial arrears.

Eligibility Guidelines

1. Household must be at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines

2. Household must have an income loss due to COVID-19 (job loss, reduction in hours, etc.)

3. Households must be in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson or Trempealeau counties
